Harpist JACQUELINE MARSHALL has been proudly penning her own biography since 1993. While her two dogs consider her most impressive accomplishment to be her patented belly rub, others are more impressed by her frequent appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, her recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and her recent performance with Kanye West at Coachella for a crowd of over 90,000 people. Jacqueline frequently leaves the house – an act not authorized by her canine superiors – in order to record music for major motion pictures and television, including for Glee, the MTV Movie and TV Awards, America’s Got Talent, and Rod Stewart’s PBS Christmas Special. Jacqueline’s classical recordings, which include Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil’s full recording of the Nutcracker and the first commercial recording of Lou Harrison’s opera Young Caesar with the LA Phil New Music Group, are considered “howl-ably delightful” by the most important critics in her life. Jacqueline is currently on faculty as Adjunct Lecturer of Harp at La Sierra University, and has been a regular recitalist and lecturer for the Gluck Foundation’s Music Outreach Program and at UCLA Extension. Jacqueline received a B.A. and M.M from UCLA, a P.S.D. from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and has audited numerous courses in Sit, Stay, Lie Down.
Jacqueline is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Contemporary Performance Collective (CPC), which is dedicated to commissioning, promoting and performing 21st-century chamber music works. Jacqueline has served as musical director for several projects outside the CPC, including the world premiere of the multimedia production Sibelius: From the Shadows of the Forest. Jacqueline is currently serving as ensemble manager for the group Bridge to Everywhere, and works as a producer on a number of independent projects.
